I believe that Chrome market share will continue climbing up, while Firefox will remain at 25-30% mark.

Internet Explorer may get a stable market share with the release of IE9 as the speed and standards compliance-arguments are vanishing. There are still more standard compliant browsers, but IE is closing up.

Firefox is going to decline in market share as they are loosing supporters within the whole field of open source software (Linux distributions switching to chrome...) and Google steadily pushing forward in market share and browser versions/features.

Safari... I don't know, honestly. Mac OS-Share is not going to increase heavily, so I don't really see the reason for safari to get much more popular.

Opera may gain some 0.2-0.4% in the next half year... a lot for Opera, does not matter for anyone else ;-)

I think IE will continue to dominate but I think Firefox will pick up more momentum. Its weird.. I don't see chrome keeping the incline going for long.

I think more people will also give IE a boost using the new beta. If that counts.

Cant stand Firefox or Chrome and would love to see Opera blow everyone away. What a browser.

IE .. even though I do not like it IE, hardware acceleration in IE will be better than both in Safari and FF.
Opera will have defiantely best Hardware acceleration.

Chrome is bound to lead as Google are about to release their official version of Chrome OS in the next few months, and as it is based on their browser It will increase the market share by a significant amount.

I think Internet explorer has a good chance, although I really wanted to say Opera. Opera deserves market share the most tbh. They're the most innovative and pull out updates faster than anyone else. It's sad to see them with the ms they have.

IE of course. Since IE9 will actually be not bad at all, people will be less coerced to choose any other browser than default.

To be realistic IE will still dominate the market in 6 months and I believe it'll still dominate it in 12 months and more. IE is the default browser when you install Windows and the masses do simply not care to install an alternative, most do not even know what a webbrowser is.

I wish (as a web developer) that an alternative would come to dominate the market, perhaps Gecko, WebKit would be nice too.
