What is the first tabbed browser that you used?

For me it was NetCaptor.
(Remember that initially Opera had MDI but not tabs).

webtax 		Opera version 4,which was the first version of opera i used, and the third browser i used (IE, navigator)

for me the MDI is the important thing, the tab bar is a GUI thing and nice addition to it.

rdb 		Recently I mailed Netcaptor maker to upgrade it with Chromium or webkit, I was told that he has no time for it, may be in future!

Darklink88 		Tired of ie 6, Firefox was the first tabbed browser i've ever used. That was about version 1.5. Then I've used firefox until version 3, when I discovered Opera.

Ichann 		Firefox.

Then IE with a BHO that did tabs.

I really hated tabs and went back to windows.

Then I used Opera and somehow loved tabs.

Early version of IE didn't offer tabbed browsing.


Sjano 		Think my first was Netscape.
When did opera start with TDI? i started using Netscape, then IE, then Netscape again, then Opera, then Firefox, then Opera again.

In this case:
Tabbed browsers have a tab bar that enables quick switching of tabs. MDI doesn't have tabs. It basically individual windows inside a parent window.

The difference is a minor one: MDI is an interface where several windows share menus and toolbars. They are not necessarily aligned in a tab-bar.

A TDI has multiple documents opened in multiple tabs (which share their toolbars and menues...).

I hope I explained it the right way... otherwise, ask wikipedia!
